Business travel clients redeem thousands in ‘tickets on hold’
BCD Travel, the third-largest corporate travel management company in the world, recommends that corporate travellers make use of their ‘tickets on hold’ to keep business travel expenses down in 2009.
‘Tickets on hold’ are tickets that have been booked for corporate travel but were later cancelled. Once cancelled, flexible tickets allow the purchaser to re-use those tickets within a certain timeframe, usually a year.
BCD Travel is actively assisting its corporate travel clients to redeem tickets on hold wherever possible to cut down business travel costs. Some of their major corporate travel clients have saved tens of thousands of dollars worth of corporate travel by utilising their tickets on hold. The BCD Travel online booking engine enables individual clients to view a list of their tickets on hold to help them plan their corporate travel more cost-effectively.
