Corporate travel in business class will continueadmin

BCD Travel management company founder and world-renowned entrepreneur, John Fentener van Vlissingen, says the global economic downturn has not put an end to corporate travel in business class.
“When the crisis has passed, business people will again occupy business class during longer corporate travel trips,” he said.
Executives undertaking regular corporate travel as part of their work require a certain level of comfort, particularly on long trips overseas, and as such business class remains an appropriate option.
“If management decides differently, employees will leave. Ultimately, those trips are work and that shouldn’t be taken too lightly,” he said.
The corporate travel management guru said it was not surprising that the global crisis had resulted in a reduction in corporate travel around the world as companies focused on cost-cutting.

“Of course, the crisis has changed the customer. For example, we’re noticing that video conferencing is replacing some business travel.”
