BA and Qantas to tackle Heathrowadmin

Connection ease at London Heathrow was placed at the top of the agenda a the recent annual general meeting of Qantas Airways and British Airways-led airline alliance Oneworld. The 10-member alliance held its chief executive meeting in Sydney last week, as Qantas chief executive Geoff Dixon is current chair of the steering board. The top subject for discussion was potential disruption at Heathrow as Terminal 5 nears completion. BA is to occupy the new structure, with other Oneworld carriers set to shift to a refurbished Terminal 3, currently home to all unaligned airlines. Michael Blunt, Oneworld vice president, corporate communications, said a decision was taken to move “lock step in negotiations with airport operator BAA to reject delays and block splitting alliance members up.
