Paper tickets to be a legacy of the past
Airlines are at the start of the home stretch of e-ticket compliance, announced the International Air Transport Association.“In 100 days the paper ticket gets put in a museum. On June 1, 2008 we will achieve 100% electronic ticketing,� said Giovanni Bisignani, IATA’s Director General and CEO.

The US and Australian governments have signed a new open skies aviation agreement after three days of negotiations in Washington.
The agreement, which leaves the way clear for V Australia to begin operations to the US, will allow airlines from both countries to select routes and destinations based on consumer demand without limitations on frequencies.

Singapore Airlines has just announced that it would be retrofitting five of its Airbus A340-500s to Business Class only operations to cross the Pacific.
